Tips for Staying Motivated During Exercise

During the summer season, my schedule is always busy and unpredictable. However, I prioritize my workout regime by taking small steps towards self-care. I also recently purchased a great workout outfit from lululemon. I find it easy to integrate exercise into my schedule by using my lunch hour for a quick but effective workout. I reserve my mornings or evenings for a full workout, but I love finding ways to move midday. Working out during a lunch break has many benefits. Dress the Part

My biggest motivation for this midday break is being in the right outfit. I love lululemon and my entire athleisure wardrobe is comprised of their products, including leggings, joggers, biker shorts, tees, and sweatshirts. I usually layer up with a lululemon sweatshirt in my chilly office.

Set a Schedule

I perform better when I schedule even the smallest self-care activities into my daily routine. To ensure that I get up and move during lunch, I schedule a midday exercise break twice a week, a midday coffee or errand run twice a week, and reserve one day for a yoga or stretching session. You can move the days around based on your work schedule. However, having a general plan to reserve each day for a small step to change your life during lunch is a big head start.

Pets can be the best exercise equipment

If you lack motivation to take a quick 15-minute exercise break over lunch, shift the focus to center around your dog needing their daily walk. Making it about your dog’s midday break instead of your lunchtime workout takes the pressure off of gym time and turns it into a healthy and enjoyable activity for both you and your furry friend.
